Here are five ideas to stay ahead of the social media game:

Create a daily, weekly or monthly series/theme

Instead of posting many different and random posts, dedicate a week or a whole month to posting a certain type of content. This can be a particular product or service your company offers, a past project or a current trend or issue affecting the company. A series that encourages engagement is even better.

Have a competition or giveaway

Share, repost and retweet and re-gram!

Not all the content you choose to share has to be your own. When users tag or mention your brand in posts, stories or tweets, choose to re-share them. This acknowledgement goes a long way and it encourages more followers to post as there’s a chance they’ll be featured on your brand’s page.

Video content marketing

Bite-sized video clips should definitely be incorporated into a brand’s creative social media portfolio. These are ideal for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and require minimal editing and can be shot in just a few seconds. Short, eye-catching and desirable clips are bound to keep your audience entertained.

Take advantage of trending topics

It’s crucial to keep abreast of news and current affairs, particularly those occurring within your company’s industry. Trending topics on Twitter and Facebook act as a way for brands to capitalize on topical content – if they acted upon fast.

There are plenty of ways to keep your brand’s social media fun, engaging and different from the rest. With so many options available, your social feed should never feel monotonous. Your brand is awesome and your feed should reflect this!
