Even with a modern site and a solid reputation in Gauteng and the Western Cape, their organic traffic had hit a ceiling.

Despite regular site visits, organic growth had stagnated, what this told us was that site visibility on search result pages, and the range of results they showed up for needed improvement.
Solution
Our team started by digging into how people were searching for relevant diagnostic services and focused on improving the client’s local SEO presence.
What we found was that in the context of the medical field, with a South African audience, the main search terms turned out to be cost focused and to a lesser degree experienced focused searches.
To strengthen visibility in key regions, we built out more locally focused content tailored to South African search behaviour.
Our approach began with a full technical SEO audit to identify indexing issues, crawl inefficiencies, and missing metadata. We also added structured data to service and location pages to help search engines better understand and surface the site’s content.
Once the foundation was solid, we turned our focus to content, expanding blog articles around key search terms that aligned with how patients were actually searching.
Lastly, our team also focused on creating backlinks for the client site, and improving various aspects of the sites UI, in order to make the users journey smoother and easier.
Throughout the process, performance was continuously monitored using Google Analytics and Google Search Console, tracking organic growth, conversions, clicks, and impressions to measure real progress over time.

Over a 13-month period, the impact of the content optimisation strategy became clear. The site saw a 123% increase in total organic traffic, with several key pages ranking in Google’s Top 3 and even appearing in the AI-powered results overview for core search terms.

More importantly, user engagement improved across the board, 35% more visitors reached the booking page, and appointment booking clicks went up by 74%, while clicks to the site jumped by 136% between September 2024 & September 2025.
